Making time for ourselves is often difficult but vital for all mothers. That is why our monthly meetings are the perfect escape! They offer intellectual stimulation through topic discussions and speakers. Meetings are generally held on the 2nd Monday of each month at 7:30 p.m. at the Hamden YMCA. Involvement in these meetings provides a core group of women with whom to share concerns, friendship, information and a sense of community.
Meeting topics have included: managing money, surviving summer, choosing a preschool, frugal moms, going green in a practical way, the busy mom workout, saving for college, traveling with kids.
Playgroups
Not just for kids, playgroups provide the opportunity to make friends and get support, while children build important social skills. Held several times a month.
Moms' Nights Out
An occasional night out without children can be just what the doctor ordered! Activities have been dinner and a movie, spa nights, craft/project nights, rock climbing and wine and cheese tasting!

Community Outreach
We work with a variety of causes in an effort to donate our talents and energy and make a difference in our community. We have recently collected items for the Ronald McDonald House and we collected Phone cards for Soldiers stationed overseas to call home during the holidays. We do our annual Power of a Purse campaign. And we collect books for Read to Grow.
CARE
We lean on each other through challenging times. Help might take the form of receiving meals after the birth of a child or during recovery of a serious illness/injury. Other assistance is available as well. We are here for you!
Book Club
Need to move beyond “Goodnight Moon”? Rediscover the joy of reading for fun with a new book every month via our book club. We read all types of fiction and some non-fiction as well. We meet for drinks, snacks and interesting discussion!
Online Discussion Forum and Facebook Group Page
Access to our Groupspaces forum and our Private Facebook Group Page. Get information and advice on anything - such as help with potty training, recommendation for a doctor, where to find a good baby sitter, preschool recommendations, recommendation for a plumber, electrician, etc.!
Family Events
Several times a year entire families get together for some family fun and get to know one another. Events include Winter Party, Summer BBQ, Family Potlucks, Hiking and Picnic lunches, and a Halloween party with games, face painting and prizes!
